Notifications are e-mails sent out to a specific recipient(s) with a body and attachments. Notification data sources have to return Recipients, Sender, Subject and can additionally return CC and BCC.
Selecting Notifications from the menu options will display the list Notification.
The user can edit a notification by selecting the Edit link.
To add a notification, select the Add button on the Notifications screen.
The name property of the notification does not allow for spaces between the characters and the notification group usually remains set to its default value. The notification must be set to Active for it to be used in Batches.
The naming mask property allows for text with spaces and can include parameter and data field values from the data sources used in the notification and data sources used in the reports assigned to the notification. Clicking on the Naming Mask text box will open an easy to use dropdown with all available data source and parameter options.
The Reports tab lists the available reports created in greenpoint which can be selected as part of the notification. A report is added to the notification by ticking the checkbox and then selecting the
button. Many reports can be added to the notification and only one can be selected as the body of the notification by selecting the radio button.
Additional attachments can also be added to the notification by selecting from the available list if uploaded attachments. An attachment can be removed from the notification by selecting the delete (
) button.
By selecting the Upload New Tab on the Additional Attachments tab, a new attachment can be uploaded and attached to this notification.
Select the Save button to save the properties of the notification.
